Ayurveda: The Healing Power of Yoga - An Online Workshop

For thousands of years Ayurveda and Yoga have been practiced in India as twin life-sciences. Ayurveda as the science of self-healing and Yoga the science of Self-realization have the same origin and goal. Yoga and Ayurveda are two closely related sacred sciences rooted in the Vedic tradition of India. 

On the occasion of 8th International Yoga Day this June, widen, deepen and complement your yoga practice with the healing science of Ayurveda.

A science of self-healing, Ayurveda is aimed at relieving the diseases of the body and mind through diet, herbs, exercise and lifestyle regimens. 

This online workshop offers four sessions over two weekends that will explore the close and complementary relationship of Ayurveda with Yoga.

This workshop will be beneficial for anyone looking to enhance their yoga practice or general health with authentic and natural methods of Ayurveda, and gain deeper understanding of self and apply lifestyle modifications for optimal healing.

  • Origins of Ayurveda and Yoga – the Sankhya Philosophy of creation and evolution
  • Tridosha – An Ayurvedic perspective to understanding our health (swasthya)
  • Find your personal Ayurvedic  constitution
  • Diet, herbs and lifestyle for your Prakruti
  • Adjusting your Hatha Yoga practice – asanas, pranayama for doshic types
  • Managing the mind with Ayurvedic and Yogic principles
Namita Sinha is a student of most revered modern teacher of Ayurveda and Vedic Sciences – Dr David Frawley (Pandit Vamadeva Shastri) and is a certified Ayurveda Lifestyle Consultant.

As a student of yoga, she has received training in Himalayan Yoga Tradition of Swami Rama and Sivananda Yoga. 

She shares her love for the timeless wisdom of Indian Vedic tradition that holds the knowledge and practices for unfoldment of highest human potential.
